Introduction
I am currently in my last year of doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology (PsyD.). I am preparing to complete my dissertation by Spring 2010 and complete internship 2010-2011.
Current Work
In addition to research, I am teaching 4 undergraduate courses in Psychology for Fall 2010.
Current Practice & Practice Background
I have supervised and co-supervised teams at an off-site university counseling clinic in addition to working as an instructor at local universities.
In counseling, I work with individuals and families of most age ranges in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have also lead and co-lead Adjustment and Compliance Groups, Art Therapy Groups, Relaxation Groups, Stress Management Groups, Coping with Chronic Illness Groups, and Experimental Treatment Groups.
Teaching
I teach at the college undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate courses include: Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychology of Personal Adjustment, Health Psychology, and Lifespan Development.
Research Interests
My research interests are both qualitative and quantitative. These include Animal Companionship studies, Efficacy Factors in Postmodern Supervision, Postmodern Social Constructionist Theoretical Development, Philosophy of Psychology, Psychology-Art and Art-Philosophy in the Modern and Postmodern Periods, Post-Modernism, Social-Constructionist Philosophy, Multi-Cultural Psychology, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Counseling and Education Related Video Production of Psychology and Counseling Materials.
